If you are coming into the studio - bring a change of clothes, a favourite toy, and some food and drink.

For my mobile studio I need a space of about 2x3 meters. For indoor photos, a room with at least one window with natural light is preferable. An electric socket within 3 meter range may be needed on very cloudy or dark days for extra lighting set-up. All of the above is a guideline only, and I can usually adapt to any situation.

My baby has a rash, scratch or bite mark on her face? Can you fix it,  or must we postpone the shoot?

Small blemishes can easily be fixed in post-production. As long as baby is not very sick, feverish or generally very unhappy, there is no need to postpone.

How do I go about giving somebody a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are available for any of the packages advertised on the website. Upon receipt of payment, a gift voucher can either be collected in Centurion, it can be snail-mailed to your own address or the address of the recipient, or I can e-mail you a .jpeg image of the gift voucher and you can print, package and present it to your own discretion.

What size prints do you provide?

The prints provided with most packages are standard jumbo's - 10x15 cm.

If you would like larger prints this can easily be arranged - mail or phone me for a quote.

 

Can you get rid of stretchmarks and dark pigmentation?

I certainly can. I do not believe in removing every single sign that you are human but will certainly get rid of unsightly stretchmarks unless asked not to.

I do not get rid of birthmarks and moles unless requested to.

 

Will you get rid of pimples and scars?

I will edit out pimples and scratches. I do not get rid of birthmarks, scars and moles unless requested to.

 

Will Daddy be included in the maternity and newborn pictures?

Everybody present will be in on the fun, even Ouma and the family cat if they are around. I do not charge extra for grandparents but please enquire about extended family or friends. Individual pictures, Mom-and-baby combo, Daddy-and-baby combo and family pictures will all be included.

 

Do you edit images for artistic effect?

I do artistic editing like colour selection/deselection, blurring and softening but I do not generally add foreign objects like flowers and such that was not included in the original set-up. I hand-edit each and every picture and you will get to choose between colour, sepia and black-and-white images for your collection.

 

If you come to my home do you bring lights and flashes?

I do own lights and flashes and I always carry it with me just-in-case but in majority of cases I try to work only with natural light. I will assess the lighting when I get to your home.

 

Do you have props and toys?

I have a generous selection of props, toys, flowers, feather and draping in the studio. I cannot cart everything along with me on locations shoots so if you have some ideas or have seen props used in my gallery, please ask for it. You don't need to get anything unless it's really out of the ordinary. I also encourage clients to bring along or have handy some special unique piece of clothing, toy or blanket, just to make your pictures different from everybody else's.

 

Where are your studios located?

The studio is in Centurion, on the Midrand border. I can rent a studio in Jhb on the Eastrand when I need to, at an additional levy.

 

Will you travel outside of Jhb and Pta?

For Portrait parties I will travel, but I will adjust the minimum number of attendees required per party.

For normal packages I will travel as well, within reason. Travel cost of R2 per kilometer is charged after 50 km's out of Pta (ie. if you life in Vereeniging, which is 100 kilometers from me, the first 50 kilometers travel is already included in package, additional extra 50 kilometers charged at R2 x 50 = R100)

 

Do you do weddings as well?

I do not specialise in weddings but I refer my wedding queries to a very experienced photographer.

 

What if my baby or child doesn't co-operate and you dont get any good pictures?

I have to date not had one unsuccesful photo session. I always get the shot, even with a crying baby or unhappy toddler. I might just have to try a bit longer. I have never had to cancel a shoot or had clients who complained that their child did not look happy on a single picture.

 

And lastly,my most frequently asked question - WHERE DO YOU GET THE PATIENCE? You had endless patience with my newborn/toddler/teenager!

My babies are 11 months apart and they are both toddlers! THAT is where I get my patience!
