i am usually a bit guilty of being a perfectionist on my photo shoots – always waiting for the right moment, the right expression and spending hours trying to get my newborns to sleep for perfect sleepy pix. sometimes though…life happens, and “imperfect” moments like a crying newborn gives you a perfect picture like this…

i’ve done a couple shoot for this family when mom was only 6 weeks pregnant, a maternity, newborn and now family shoot. they have now graduated and are PRO’s in front of the camera.

what was supposed to be a mini session with this little cutie turned into an hour session once we started. she was such a joy and pleasure, and because they are regular clients of mine, me and mommy had a good chat in between as well.

for the duration of the long school holidays during the soccer world cup, i ran mini studio sessions every friday. this family was my very first session after relocating the studio to centurion. we had SO much fun, myself and mom included!
