sand, sea and sun

so i’m back from my week long breakaway in the natal southcoast. one of the main reasons for going was to do one or two photoshoots of my babies on the beach -excellent artistic concept. the reality was …not so excellent. i will let you in on a secret – shooting on the beach is TRICKY. take two babies, one 7 months old and immobile, the other 18 months and VERY mobile. add expensive camera, LOTS of seasand and wind, the result- which i will post for your enjoyment soon, was not quite as idyllic as i had hoped. no one ever tells you how easy the sand gets in your lens, or how quickly a toddler can cover herself in sand and look…well… unpretty. or how nasty the wind on the beach can be and how un-adore’ble the ‘windswept’ look is. let me also add that the factor +1000 sunscreen i bought for my ‘Valie’ babies’ skins turned out to be BLUE!! very photogenic hey.
well thats my moan session for the day, let me get to some photo editing and hopefully soon share with you the hard-earned fruits of my labour, LOL.
