We try to grab pieces of our lives as they speed past us. Photographs freeze those pieces and help us remember how we were.”
– Gene McSweeney, Grey Water Photography (06-04-2006)

The best time for your photo shoot is somewhere around 34 – 36 weeks. Your belly will be nice and full and we don’t want to wait until the very last week! Early morning or late afternoon are good times, but we do want daddy to be there, so plan around his schedule as well. You might want to make a day of it, and get your hair and nails done for the occasion. Not only will you feel like a pampered queen, but you will have thatextra bit of confidence that will definitely show in your maternity photographs! When you are so far along, any bit of pampering is welcome anyway (you might want to throw in a maternity-friendly massage while you’re busy).

Newborn photography is done within the first 2 weeks after birth. Book your session during your last trimester to ensure you are committed and don’t have to make arrangements after the birth. We can make all the arrangements and I will be on stand-by, so to speak. Newborn photography always gets priority, as the window of opportunity is smaller than with older baby photography. If we have made all the practical arrangements before hand, the new sleep-deprived mommy has less to worry about!

All kids older than 6 weeks will be incorporated into family sessions.

We do individual shots of each member of the family, plus all the combinations of family members together – such as with mom and kids, dad and kids, and everybody together.

Our studio caters for groups of up to 6 people and for bigger groups we venture outside and look for a beautiful location to go shoot at.

For the ladies… do it for yourself or create the best gift ever for your partner.A stylish shoot of yourself looking your best, wearing something a little revealing, with professional make up to boot. This is one of the most empowering things you will ever do for yourself…

We only have female staff on board and we create the most comfortable environment we can to make this experience a really great one!

This kind of photography documents the little things of your day to day life and preserves it in a beautiful way. You will not be asked to pose or look into the camera, rather just be yourself and we’ll be the fly on the wall for that all-natural look.

If you are interested in having your birth photographed, please get in contact to discuss your birth plan and how we can document your story.
