Where is your studio located?

The studio is in Raslouw, Centurion. It is about 20 km from Fourways on the N14, 25 km from Rivonia on the N1 and 30 km from Pretoria north

Do you edit the images, do we get hard copies or digitals, and how long is editing time?

Basic retouching, blemish removal and editing will be done. Digital images will be provided edited, via download, in JPEG format. No RAW files will ever be handed over. 

Editing takes 14-21 days. During peak season (Dec to mid Jan) editing time will be 4-6 week. A rush edit fee of R500 applies to urgent requests. 

Client will receive proof gallery to select images from. Proof pictures will remain online for a maximum of 14 days.

Do you provide clothes for the shoot?

I have a selection of flattering dresses in the studio, free to use for my studio clients. I cater mostly for maternity moms but the dresses are versatile enough to be used for newborn and  family sessions.

I do not however provide wardrobe for the entire family.

Do you rent out your dresses?

Unfortunately not

Can I come view your studio wardrobe or book a dress for my shoot?

We are not a dress rental company and we do not book dress fittings.  These dresses are provided complimentary to my clients but unfortunately cannot be booked, tried on or set aside in advance.

Our wardrobe is also only available in studio, we do not bring any dresses on location with us.

Do you have props and accessories?

We have a selection of dresses, props, headbands and draping in the studio.There is a variety of chairs, seats as well as a bed in studio. There is always at least 2 setups to use.

‘Props’ mean different things to different people. If you take a look at my work you will see I do not over-style sets with lots of colourful props that will go out of style and date. I prefer a simple and pure look so I don’t typically make use of bold and bright props.

Do you offer hair and make up?

Yes we do. Most packages do not include these services but we do work with preferred suppliers that we can book for you at an additional fee.

How many outfits can I change into during my shoot:

Your time in studio is for either 30 or 60 minutes depending on your package. The max number of sets will be either 2 or 4 but keep in mind that all the time spent in the change room is time that we are not using for taking gorgeous pictures of you. My philosophy lies strongly in Less Is More. The shoot is about you, your essence, the love of your family. It’s not a catalogue shoot for your clothes after all 😉

Is Daddy included in the shoot?

Daddy and siblings are included in all shoots (except no siblings in Purity package). Please enquire about extended family or friends. Individual pictures, mom-and-baby combo, daddy-and-baby combo and family pictures will all be included.

What do you expect of me on the day of the shoot, and any special preparations, what must I wear?

When we confirm a booking, we will send you all the information you need about styling and preparing for the photo shoot.

Can you get rid of pimples, stretch marks and dark pigmentation?

We certainly can. We do not get rid of permanent birthmarks and moles unless requested to.

If you come to my home, what do you bring with and what do you need?

Home shoots are considered lifestyle photography with natural light and your home and garden will serve as the backdrop for the pictures. We do not operate as a mobile studio. For newborn pictures we can bring a small selection of props with.

Am I the right photographer for you?

If you are looking for simple, light, emotive images, then YES! If you want an easy and relaxed experience, then yes. If you want the kids (and hubby) to have fun and look forward to coming again, for sure.

If you are looking for a very stylized, formal,  structured gallery with loads of props, flowers, many different colourful backdrops and several hours  of wardrobe and set changes, then I might not be the person for that specific shoot and you will find more joy working with a different photographer who loves that type of thing, and that is perfectly fine!
