Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions clients ask most often
Your edited images are delivered via a private online gallery, usually within 14 to 21 days of your session. You download directly from there in JPEG format. The gallery stays live for 14 days.
During December and the holiday season, turnaround extends to four to six weeks. A rush edit fee of R500 applies if you need them sooner.
It depends on the package you choose. Smaller packages include 15 edited images. Standard packages include 30. Larger packages include full galleries of up to 100 images. RAW files are not provided under any circumstances.
Yes, absolutely. Your images are yours to share wherever you like. The only request is that you do not crop out or remove my watermark if one has been applied. I also love a tag when you share.
Yes. Basic retouching is included in every session. This covers blemishes, temporary breakouts, minor pigmentation and general skin smoothing. Permanent birthmarks and moles are left as they are unless you specifically ask for them to be removed.
Yes. Selected packages include a Litho photo book, and prints and albums are available as add-ons. Please ask when you book if you are interested in physical products in addition to your digital gallery.
Yes. I have a selection of flattering dresses available at no extra charge for studio sessions. The wardrobe cannot be reserved or tried on in advance, and is not available for home or location shoots.
Yes. The studio has wraps, baskets, headbands, hats, chairs and a variety of setups. My approach is simple and minimal so the focus stays on you and your family, not the styling.
Yes. Hair and makeup is included in the Just Breathe maternity package and is available as an add-on for other sessions. Please mention it when you book so I can arrange it in time.
Sessions run for 30 or 60 minutes and time spent changing is time not spent taking photos. One outfit change per session is usually the most practical. Less is more.
If the weather is not workable for outdoor photos, we move indoors or reschedule. I will reach out early on the morning of your session so you are not driving over in bad conditions.
Home sessions are lifestyle shoots using natural light. I do not operate as a mobile studio, so the full studio wardrobe and prop range is not available on location. A travel fee applies depending on distance.
For family and cake smash sessions, a few weeks to a month ahead is usually enough for weekdays. Weekends fill faster. For maternity and newborn sessions, booking during your second trimester is strongly recommended.
Yes. A booking fee is required to secure your date and is deducted from the total at the time of your session. Your date is not held until the booking fee is received.
Rescheduling is possible with enough notice and subject to availability. Booking fees are non-refundable for late cancellations. Full terms are included with your booking confirmation.
Please contact me as soon as possible. I would rather reschedule than push through a session where someone is unwell. Send me a message and we will find another date.
Once your booking is confirmed, I will send you a preparation guide specific to your session type covering what to wear, what to bring, how to prepare and what to expect on the day.
If you want simple, natural, light-filled images and a relaxed experience where nobody has to perform for the camera, yes. Have a look at the portfolio and you will know within about thirty seconds.
